day2day

i love this idea....

"The ordinary CAN be beautiful. capture Your ordinary beauty over five days"...

a photo project to encourage you to experiment with your camera, capture the everyday beauty that we sometimes forget....i only found out about the project today so only have one photo to offer for this week

point and shoot #1:

so...my new 2 week old digital camera has now become a point and shoot after silly adult boy wrestling antics resulted in a throughly broken screen. as a result, every shot is quite literally a surprise....i liked this one, thought it appropriate for ordinary beauty :)

summer

yay! festivals - yay! sunburn - boo...especially because of the brown diamond shape on my chest from bikini straps.....and the white circle inside the diamond from low hanging necklace....(maybe i can just pretend it's my secret super hero sign which displays itself in the sun...). and here's to the huge flock of seagulls that suddenly desecended us:

(there were lots more than just these, and they flew super low!). if i could of bottled up the sunshine i would have done, but i couldn't....so here's a bit of sunshine for ya:

i had a teeny obsessive moment with this one...all the beads are strung in prime numbers: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11....sometimes things like that make me feel peaceful :)

amber...

amber is possibly my favourite 'gemstone'....such lovely warm tones with little glittery flashes. i'm so so pleased with this latest piece, if for no other reason than it taking SO LONG to find these amber beads! it was surprisingly difficult to find genuine amber, i kept receiving 'amber' which when i tested it (by burning the edge of the bead) smelt absolutely foul (horrible plastic) instead of the yummy pine/incense smell you get from amber. aaaanyway....eventually discovered these fab beads which look lovely strung with these bright karen hill tribe silver beads.

this particular piece was commissioned, but i have some more of these pretty beads available if you interested - just email me at claire@gugaw.co.uk
